FHUARC Meeting Minutes
May 18, 2006
This "eating meeting" was hosted by Barry, K4DJX, and Jean at their
home QTH
on White Avenue in Henderson. Good food, great fellowship, and
fantastic
weather made for a great evening and a very enjoyable meeting.
Thanks to
those who provided the food, and special thanks to Barry and Jean
for their
hospitality.
Hams in attendance were: Joe, AG4QC; Sue, KI4LFT; Richard, W4KRU;
Miss
Martha, KA4AHS; John, K4QQ; Thad, KI4LFV; Jimmy, KI4LFU; Dan, W1LSU;
Ron,
W5DAT; Beverly, KG4WKI; Mickey, KI4DTQ; Dexel, KI4HZV; Barry, K4DJX;
Louise,
AG4BD, and Mike, K4TC. I hope I did not omit anyone. For those
non-hams in
attendance (very few!), you are either family or friends, and are a
very
integral part of the great fraternity of Amateur Radio!
Discussions and last-minute details for the Southwest Tennessee
Hamfest (I
hope I got that right!) were attended to. All members who can help
with the
Hamfest, your time and effort will be needed and appreciated. The
Hamfest
dates are June 2 & 3, 2006. We look forward to the Hamfest with
eager
anticipation!
Ron, W5DAT, who is the present Emergency Coordinator (EC) for ARES,
passed
the EC position to John, K4QQ.
Ron, W5DAT, has been mobilized with his Army Reserve unit. Our
thoughts,
prayers, support, and best wishes will be with Ron and his family.
New club offices were also elected:

Secretary - Mike Burkhead K4TC
Treasurer - Barry Smith K4DJX
Annual Club dues are now due and payable.
After a very enjoyable evening and meeting, we were adjourned.
