At our last ham radio meeting we discussed ways to encourage more contact
with fellow club members. The idea of a contest was suggested. Below are my
tentative guidelines. Please feel free to discuss, improve, modify, and/or
delete any thing listed below. Later, I can send an Excel file of club
members with their call signs if there is any interest.

Work All FHU Club Members on Two Meters
 WAFHUCMTM – WACM for short

Two Meter Contest Rules

1.The goal of the contest is to work as many new hams as possible.
2.The contest results will be reported each week during the Tuesday evening
net. Reporting can be done two ways: check in and report to the net or send
an email to the net control two hours before net time.
3.The contest will have two categories. (1) The station that works the
largest number of hams through our repeater. Club members count 2 points and
non-members 1 point. (2) The station that works the largest number of hams
by simplex. Club members will will count as two points and non-members as 1
point.
4.At the end of four weeks, the ham in each of the categories with the most
points will be declared the winner. (All hams are eligible to enter both
categories).
5.Each ham who works all FHU Club members will be present a certificate –
WACM.
6.Weekly reporting of the number of contacts will begin Wednesday morning of
each week and will end Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
7.Stations which are eligible to work for extra points are the FHU Club
members which are posted on the Web site. There are forty members posted.
(Tom has made an Excel file).
8.Contacts made during the Tuesday night net and/or either two hours before
or after net time do not count.

The General Rules for Contest Operating – Below are a few listings
 http://www.arrl.org/contests/announcements/rules-all.html

1.All operators must observe the limitations of their operator licenses and
station licenses at all times.
2.All callsigns and exchange information must be sent, received,
acknowledged and logged correctly by each station for a complete QSO.
3.An operator may not use more than one call sign from any given location
during the contest period.
4.The same station may be worked only once per band for contest credit.
5.A transmitter used to contact one or more stations may not be subsequently
used under any other call during the contest period, except for family
stations where more than one call has been issued, and then only if the
second call sign is used by a different operator. (The intent of this rule
is to accommodate family members who must share a rig and to prohibit
manufactured or artificial contacts.)
6.The use of non-Amateur Radio means of communication (for example, Internet
or telephone) to solicit a contact (or contacts) during the contest period
is not permitted.
