[W4FHU] Update/Field Day

Hello Hams:

 

The FHUARC met last Thursday night for our regular monthly meeting.  We
nominated and elected new officers for the 08-09 year.  They are:
President- Ron Means, W5DAT; Vice-President- Dan Crump, W1LSU;
Secretary- James Webb, KC4UFZ; Treasurer- Barry Smith, K4DJX.

Our thanks goes to Joe Loucka, AG4QC for his service as club President
for the past two years.  Joe will continue to host and manage the club's
website.  We appreciate his service with this over the years.

 

Field Day is this weekend.  I need to know who will be present for setup
(9:00am) and who is planning to attend the event and help operate a
while during the day from 12:00 until just after our dinner/cookout.
Please e-mail me and let me know the approximate hours you will be there
during the day this Saturday.  We will be at Gene Record Park in the
Civitan Pavilion here in Henderson.  Additional info will be sent out
tomorrow or Friday.  I also need to know who is bringing equipment,
antennas, power, etc.  I will talk about food in a later e-mail.

 

I look forward to seeing each of you this weekend.  I also look forward
to serving as President of the club for the next year.  I appreciate
your confidence in me to do the job.  I am already busy working on
activities and events for everyone's participation in the coming months.
