I really had a good time at the Radio Club meeting last night. Thank you to
everyone who participated.  

 

It was decided that at our next meeting on Aug 20th we would construct a
digital interface to allow your computer to talk to your radio.  This would
allow you to run Digital modes like PSK-31, APRS, SSTV, Packet and many
more.  The project will be just building the interface but not the cables as
each radio and computer has it's own style of connectors.

 

The digital mode interface will include:

-          2 Transformers

-          1 opto-isolator chip

-          A couple resistors

-          One pot

-          One led

-          One capacitor

-          One perfboard.

-          And instructions and hands on help.

 

You will need to bring a soldering iron, solder and basic tools.

The cost for the above will be $5.00    I need to make sure I have enough
parts so I need to know quickly how many people want to build these
interfaces and how many.  If you are interested in building this interface,
